How to uninstall PDFNest
How you uninstall depends on how you got PDFNest. If you ran PDFNest.exe directly, there is nothing installed to remove. If you used the Windows installer, uninstall it like any other app.
If you ran PDFNest.exe directly (no installer)
- Close PDFNest. Close its window. It does not run in the background.
- Delete PDFNest.exe. It is where your browser saved it, usually your Downloads folder. Right-click it and choose Delete.
- Delete the app cache. Press Windows + R, type
%LOCALAPPDATA%and press Enter. Delete the PDFNest folder. - Optional: delete your results. Your converted files are in Documents\PDFNest. Keep or delete them as you like.
- Optional: remove pins. If you pinned PDFNest to Start or the taskbar, right-click it and choose Unpin.
Nothing else was added, so there's nothing else to clean up: no services, scheduled tasks, startup entries, browser changes, or registry settings.
If you used the Windows installer
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Control Panel → Programs and Features).
- Find PDFNest in the list, click it, and choose Uninstall. Alternatively, open the Start Menu, right-click the PDFNest folder, and choose Uninstall PDFNest.
- The uninstaller removes the program files, Start Menu/desktop shortcuts, and the single registry value it created. No admin prompt is needed.
As you uninstall, PDFNest sends one anonymous "uninstalled" event (just a random install id, no personal data) so we can count uninstalls — see the Privacy Policy.
