Privacy Policy
The data controller for this website is PDFNest Ltd, Suite 6, 81 Sample Road, Manchester, M1 0XX, United Kingdom (company number 00000000). Contact: info@pdfnestapp.com.
The PDFNest app
- Your documents stay on your PC. Files are processed on your computer and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- No data collection once installed. The running app collects no personal information, analytics or usage data, and makes no internet connections.
- Anonymous install statistics. The installer sends us three events — install started, install finished, and uninstalled — each tagged only with a random id generated for that install (not tied to you, your account or your device). We use this solely to count installs and uninstalls; we do not collect your IP address, location, or any other identifying information as part of this.
- Local storage. Results are saved to Documents\PDFNest or a folder you choose. The app window keeps a small cache in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PDFNest. For a few scripts such as Hindi or Thai, Text to PDF may use the copy of Microsoft Edge on your PC, offline, with a temporary profile that is deleted after each conversion.
This website
- No cookies, no tracking. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from www.pdfnestapp.com.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, page, time) for up to 30 days to deliver downloads and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely.
- Emails and calls. If you contact us, we use your details only to reply, and keep them for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you by emailing info@pdfnestapp.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If we ever add analytics or advertising tags to this site, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
